Introduction of the Moroccans council in Finland

 


The Council of Moroccans in Finland is a non-governmental, non-profit organization that
represents Moroccans living in Finland. Its aim is to promote communication and
cooperation between Moroccans and to support them in preserving their cultural and
national identities. The council aims to organize cultural, social and religious activities that
connect community members and help them integrate into Finnish society, as well as
strengthen cultural and economic ties between Finland and Morocco.


Council objectives:

Promoting cultural communication: Organizing events in Finland that emphasize Moroccan
culture, such as festivals, exhibitions and workshops dealing with Moroccan heritage.
Integration support: We help new Moroccans in Finland to adapt to Finnish society through
orientation programs and workshops on language and local laws.
Preservation of identities: Organizing activities that reinforce Moroccan belonging and
support the community in preserving traditions and values, such as religious and national
celebrations.
Economic cooperation: We build cooperation bridges between Moroccan and Finnish
businessmen by organizing economic forums to promote trade and investments.
Social and legal awareness: Providing legal and social support and advice to community
members regarding residence, work and social rights.


Main functions:


National and religious holidays: such as Independence Day, Green March, Eid al-Fitr and
Eid al-Adha.
Workshops and seminars: on topics such as entrepreneurship, education and community
integration.
Cultural events: such as the Moroccan Cultural Festival, craft exhibitions and poetry and
literature evenings.
Social and sports activities: such as sports days, family trips and cultural and art
competitions.

The Council of Morocco and Finland strives to be an important bridge that connects Morocco
and Finland, increases the mutual understanding of both cultures and reflects a bright image
of the Moroccan community, either by supporting its members within Finland or by
strengthening bilateral relations between the countries
